KNOX – The Curwensville boys basketball team traveled to Knox on Saturday afternoon to play the Panthers of Keystone High School who had a 12-3 record coming into the contest.
The Panthers showed their might, downing the Golden Tide 60-20 to improve to 13-3.
It was right from the get go for the Panthers coming out and taking a 14-5 first quarter lead then stretching it to 28-11 at intermission.
Not much of a different game in the second 16 minutes either, as Keystone won the third and fourth quarters 32-9 combined for the easy victory.
Ty Terry lead Curwensville in scoring with 11 points.
Keystone had 10 players that scored on the afternoon, led by Colin Say with 14 points while Bret Wingard added 11.
The Panthers also won the junior varsity game by a score of 42-14. High scorer for the Golden Tide was Jason Rowles with eight points.
Curwensville, with a record of 3-11, plays at DuBois Central Catholic, who defeated the Tide earlier this season at Curwensville, 67-37, on Monday night.
