FRENCHVILLE – The Mosquito Creek Sportsmen’s Association has announced the winners of its 2021 Coyote Hunt on the association’s official Web site.
Ryan Stumpf harvested the heaviest coyote at 49.75 pounds. Clint Van Orden finished in second place (48.65 pounds) and Deven Harer (45.3 pounds) in third place.
Steve Chilcott harvested the heaviest female, a 44.6-pound coyote.
The association had 4,557 registered hunters with total prize monies of $45,570.
Fifty percent was divided among all hunters who harvested a coyote. The other $18,228 was divided up 50 percent, 30 percent and 20 percent to the top three place winners.
Stumpf was awarded $9,114 for first place; Van Orden, $5,468.40 for second place; and Harer, $3,645.60 for third place.
Also, Chilcott received $9,114 for weighing in the heaviest female. With a total of 224 coyotes brought in, prize money of $82 was awarded per dog.
