CLEARFIELD – Amid the uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the Clearfield County Fair will go on in 2021.

One of the largest fairs in Pennsylvania, it will be held Aug. 1-7, and the fair and park board announced its grandstand entertainment virtually Monday morning.

On Tuesday, Aug. 3, the grandstand will feature rock band, Jackyl, with The Kentucky Headhunters and on Wednesday, Aug. 4 is popular stand-up comedian, Larry the Cable Guy.

Then, there will be two nights of big rig truck and tractor pulls on Thursday and Friday, Aug. 5-6 before the fair closes out with country headliner Russell Dickerson and special guests Jameson Rodgers and The Hobbs Sisters on Saturday, Aug. 7.

Hallstrom said the fair board – upon consult with legal counsel – is moving forward with plans of having a 2021 fair. He said it’s also booked entertainment for the David H. Litz grove stage and Expo II Plaza.

“That information will be released at a later time,” he said, noting the board was very pleased with its grandstand line-up. “These are some very uncertain times we’re in.

“Concerts have been cancelled all over. We didn’t know who would even be out on tour this summer, so we’re very pleased.”

Tickets will go on sale Thursday, Feb. 11 on the fair’s official Web site: www.clearfieldcountyfair.com. Tickets will be available online only; concert tickets purchased now will include gate admission.
