CLEARFIELD – A Shawville woman is behind bars for an alleged motor vehicle theft and drug violations.

Jessica Hudson, 20, is charged by Lawrence Township police with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, unauthorized use of motor vehicle, driver’s license suspended/revoked, intentional possession of a controlled substance and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to police, a motor vehicle theft was reported at 2:33 a.m. Thursday at Snappy’s Convenience Store, Clearfield. A short time later, it was observed pulling into the lower parking lot at Sapp Bros. Truck Stop

Hudson was found to have stolen the truck and subject to search, as she was being placed under arrest. She was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, police say.

Hudson was housed in Clearfield County Jail on a probation violation, and her bail was set at $50,000. She’s scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing Jan. 13 during centralized court.
