HARRISBURG – Three Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) grants totaling $2.5 million were awarded today for important health care and economic development initiatives in Cambria and Clearfield counties, according to Senator Wayne Langerholc Jr. (R-35).

Telehealth Suites LLC, will receive $1.4 million to revitalize the former Cambria-Rowe Business College building as an opioid monitoring call center.

The project includes land acquisition, plumbing construction, a new HVAC system that incorporates COVID-19 prevention technology, replacement of electrical wiring and systems, abatement and contingency.

Saint Francis University will receive $500,000 for Phase 4B of its Rural Health and Wellness Complex project, which includes the renovation and expansion of Sullivan Hall.

Once completed, Sullivan Hall will feature a modernized learning environment with digitally equipped classrooms, seminar rooms for small-scale, interactive classwork and a range of specialized laboratories.

Clearfield County Economic Development Corp. was awarded $600,000 for the development of a 20,000 square-foot, steel-shell building on an approximate five-acre lot in the Clearfield Commerce Park.

“These are all important grants that support the health and safety of our communities and encourage job growth and economic development,” said Langerholc.

“The ongoing battle against opioids, coupled with COVID-19, have clearly shown the need for training and resources for our healthcare workers and the community.  These grants support and promote those efforts.”
