LEWISTOWN – A Clearfield teen was killed in a motor vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon along U.S. Route 322 east in Lewistown, Mifflin County.

The Lewistown Sentinel reported that at approximately 12:19 p.m., a pick-up truck driven by Caleb McGee, 19, collided with the Jersey barrier, veered up an embankment and struck a tree.

Coroner Daniel Lynch pronounced McGee dead at the scene.

McGee was a member of the Community Baptist Church, Curwensville. He was a sophomore at the Penn State University where he was studying animal science, according to his obituary.

At PSU, he was a member of the Dairy Science Club. Because of his love for cows, he was a member of the Morrisons Cove Dairy 4-H Club; he’d shown dairy cows most of his life.

He was also a gifted musician and had an extreme love for music. He was a member of the Clearfield Area Junior-Senior High School band and choir.

McGee was recognized in several district, regional and state music festivals, and even had the distinguished honor of singing as a Tenor 2 with the All-National Choir.

McGee was born April 21, 2000, the son of Brian N. and Becky A. (Mohr) McGee of Clearfield.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Community Baptist Church, Curwensville.  Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield, is serving the family.
