DUBOIS – A DuBois man facing involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child charges waived his right to a preliminary hearing Friday during centralized court.

Austin James Kirkey, 23, is also charged with felony corruption of minors in connection to an incident on Dec. 15 in DuBois.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, a woman reported that the child, who is under 13 years of age, was sexually assaulted by Kirkey.

In an interview with police, Kirkey allegedly admitted to being sexually attracted to the juvenile and committing a sexual act on him.

Kirkey is being held in the county jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
