3 Rafters Who Went Missing on Susquehanna River Located in “Good Condition”

Three rafters who went missing Sunday night on the West Branch of the Susquehanna River in the area of the Clearfield/Centre County line have been located.

According to the Pine Glen Fire Company, the adult and two juveniles were found in a “very remote area” below the Moshannon Falls. They are in “good condition” and ground crews are currently en route to their location.

According to the fire company, they got on the river at approximately 4:10 p.m. and were expected to arrive at the Karthaus boat launch at nightfall, or 8:30 p.m. “But they missed their boat launch,” a department spokesperson said.

Pennsylvania State Police and the Karthaus Fire Company, Station 20, Clearfield County, and Pine Glen Fire Company, Station 17, Centre County assisted with the search.
