Inaugural Patrick Straub Softball Tournament is Sept. 14

DUBOIS – A softball tournament will benefit the family of a Sandy Township and DuBois City police officer who was killed in a motor vehicle crash last year.

The inaugural Patrick Straub Softball Tournament is being held Sept. 14 at Stern and Showers Fields, DuBois. The cost is $175 per team to enter, and the tournament is co-ed.

All proceeds will benefit Straub’s family. The deadline for teams to enter the tournament is Sept. 2.

A memorial blood drive is also being planned for Sept. 13, and additional information will be released by organizers upon receipt of materials from the American Red Cross.
