A Houtzdale man is facing charges for leading state police on a high-speed pursuit for 16 miles.

The pursuit occurred at 7:44 p.m. Friday when a trooper attempted to stop a sport bike following several violations, according to Clearfield-based state police.

However, its operator – identified as 23-year-old Douglas Domack – reportedly refused to stop and the pursuit ensued through the Brisbin, Houtzdale, Janesville and Fernwood areas at speeds in excess of 115 miles per hour.

Domack was later apprehended in the Brisbin area, state police say, and he’s being charged for fleeing and attempting to elude an officer, DUI and 85 summaries.

State police would also like to thank members of the public who alerted to Domack’s direction of travel at several locations throughout the pursuit.
