Long-time Meals on Wheels Driver Recognized for Service

CLEARFIELD – Long-time Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging employee and Meals on Wheels & More driver, Sherry Tubbs, was recently honored with a citation from the Pennsylvania Senate and Senator Wayne Langerholc Jr. ’s office in Clearfield.

Sherry is newly retired after 36 years.   She was recognized for her years of loyalty and service and her extraordinary commitment to the Meals on Wheels program.

She had been with the Home-Delivered Meals Program since March of 1983.  She was a substitute for about six months prior to that date.  Nearly all of her years have been spent delivering in the Morrisdale area.

Programs and services of the agency are funded in part by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging, the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging, Inc., Mature Resources Foundation and local and consumer contributions.
