Chiefs Lose Two Tourney Games to Weather

ELKINS, W.Va. — Heavy rains that washed out most of the action for the 2019 Hillbilly Hardball Classic Thursday cost the Clearfield American Legion Post 6 team two games, one of which will be made up Saturday.

The Chiefs (3-1) will play South Charleston (W.Va.) Post 94 at 5:30 p.m. as the nightcap of a doubleheader at Davis & Elkins College. They are slated to meet Moorefield (W.Va.) Post 64 at 3.

Friday’s schedule pits them against Greenville (Ohio) Post 140 at 2 p.m. and Garrett County (Md.) Post 214 at 6.

Clearfield is slotted in the Orange Division, one of six in the 36-team tournament for players 19-and-under.
