PSP Fire Marshal Investigating Chest Township Fire

CHEST TOWNSHIP – The investigation is continuing into a Chest Township fire that broke out during the early-morning hours Friday.

The house/vehicle fire occurred at 1:30 a.m. at 2090 Five Points Rd., in La Jose, according to a report issued by the Pennsylvania State Police fire marshal.

The cause of the fire hasn’t yet been determined, state police say, and two firefighters sustained minor injuries on-scene.

Damage to the house is estimated at $40,000; the victim didn’t have insurance. Additionally, an estimated $5,000 worth of damage occurred to a 2005 Honda Pilot.
