CURWENSVILLE – Curwensville resident Rusty McCracken recently published his first book entitled: Waiting for the Comeback.
The Christian-based essays and short stories provide insight into a variety of topics infused with biblical references to solidify the various messages.
The book of faith, family, fiction and other thoughts is available in paperback at Amazon and Barnes and Nobles.com and will be ready as an e-book in the near future.
“I had a number of short stories in my portfolio and always joked about them being my retirement plan,” McCracken mused.
“Then I started putting them together and editing to match some essays I also had written for myself. When I started putting things together, they just meshed into some thoughts on how we go through life today, and I was urged to share them.”
McCracken is a 1979 graduate of the Clearfield Area High School and currently teaches in the Curwensville Area School District.
His past writing experience includes spending time as a sports writer and editor for The Progress in Clearfield, an assistant sports information director at Clarion University and a contributing writer for gantnews.com.
Rusty and his wife, Diane, live in Curwensville and have two children, Heath (La Plata, Md.) and Paige (Butler, Pa.).
