CLEARFIELD – UGI Utilities Inc. will begin a natural gas main construction project in the borough of Clearfield the week of March 11.
This project is part of the company’s GET (Growth Extension Tariff) Gas initiative designed to extend service to residents and businesses that currently do not have access to natural gas.
The natural gas main construction project will take place on Sheridan Drive, between South Fourth and South Fifth streets. During construction hours, residents and commuters should expect delays and parking restrictions.
Traffic will be restricted to one lane. Construction hours are scheduled from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday. Flaggers will direct traffic in the area.
Construction is expected to be completed by Friday, March 22. UGI will be canvassing homes door-to-door during this time period to gauge interest in natural gas service.
