CLEARFIELD – Karen Baker, chief executive officer for the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape (PCAR), visited the Child Advocacy Center of Clearfield County (CAC-CC) on Dec. 3.

According to District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr., Baker made it her goal that day to visit the center along with the offices of PASSAGES Inc.

PASSAGES Inc. has offices based in Clarion, Jefferson and Clearfield counties that provide free and confidential services to victims of sexual violence.

Shaw said PASSAGES Inc. is a “vital” part of the Multi-Disciplinary Investigative Team (MDIT) that operates from the Child Advocacy Center.

During Baker’s visit to the center, she received a tour. She also discussed the critical roles that sexual assault centers have in the commonwealth and how collaboration is vital for survivors.

Shaw thanked Baker for serving Pennsylvania and taking time to visit the Child Advocacy Center.
