Plaque to Honor Award-winning Artist, Author and Clearfield Grad at CAJSHS

CLEARFIELD – A plaque in honor of Betsy Reilly Lewin as a Distinguished Alumna of Clearfield Area Junior-Senior High School is presented to Tim Janocko, principal, by Gayle Gearhart, a Clearfield Bison alumna.

The plaque will be placed at the entrance to the school auditorium.  Lewin is a Pratt Institute of Art graduate and award-winning artist and author of children’s books.

One of her best-known books is the Caldecott Honor Book, Click, Clack, Moo: Cows that Type. 

She is a 1955 graduate of Clearfield Area High School and is a long-time resident of Brooklyn, N.Y., where she maintains a studio.
