Clearfield Man Facing Drug, Weapons Charges

LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP – A 34-year-old Clearfield man is facing drug- and weapons-related charges, Lawrence Township police say.

According to the incident report, police were called about a disorderly male who was being aggressive with staff at approximately 12:40 p.m. Tuesday at the Super 8 Hotel.

Upon arrival, the man was escorted from the property by officers and advised he wasn’t any longer permitted there. Police cleared but were called back after a firearm was recovered from the room.

However, before officers arrived on-scene, the man showed up and displayed his conceal carry permit to staff. Then, they returned his firearm to him and he left.

Police later located the suspect vehicle at the Edgewood Apartments. Upon investigation, the man was allegedly found in possession of a large quantity of methamphetamine, a firearm and other paraphernalia.

Police say a 22-year-old Clearfield woman was also found in possession of marijuana, which was in plain view inside her vehicle. Both will be charged through the district court.
