State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about a theft that occurred between Dec. 11 and Dec. 20 on Kendrick Road in Woodward Township. During the incident, someone allegedly stole a trailer from behind Lewis Paving. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-857-3800.
State police at DuBois
- State police received a report about a theft that occurred Friday on Wayne Road in Winslow Township. As part of an Internet scam, a 58-year-old Reynoldsville man was persuaded to purchase an iTunes gift card and then to provide its information. He was allegedly scammed out of $900.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police reported a DUI that occurred Saturday in the 400 block of Eureka Street in Punxsutawney Borough. During the incident, a 31-year-old Big Run man was found sleeping in a parking lot with his car running. He was allegedly found to be under the influence. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- State police reported a DUI that occurred Saturday near Cloe-Rossiter Road/Route 36 in Bell Township. During a traffic stop, a male was found in possession of drug paraphernalia and suspected of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- On Sunday state police investigated an incident of harassment on Ramsaytown Road at the Knox Township building. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an incident of public drunkenness Sunday at Sheetz, located on the Clearfield-Shawville Highway. According to police, a male was asleep in the men’s restroom and employees were unable to wake him. On-scene, it took police several minutes to wake him and they found he was unable to stand without assistance. Police took the male to county jail since he was unable to contact anyone for a ride.
- Police received a report about an incident of theft/forgery that occurred Sunday at the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Clearfield. According to police, two African-American males made purchases at the store. They allegedly used $1,500 in counterfeit $100 bills. Police say the males were described as being dressed in black with baseball caps; they were also driving a white, four-door car. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- Police reported a DUI that occurred Saturday on South Second Street. During a traffic stop, a 22-year-old Imperial, Pa. man was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol. He was taken to the hospital for a legal blood draw and later released to a sober person. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- Police reported a DUI that occurred Sunday on South Second Street. During a traffic stop, a 59-year-old Hawk Run man allegedly showed signs of impairment and was administered field sobriety tests. Afterward, he was taken into custody for DUI and to the hospital for a blood draw. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- Police reported a DUI that occurred Saturday on Daisy Street. According to police, a suspicious vehicle was observed in the driveway of a known “drug residence.” The driver was suspected of being under the influence and transported to the hospital for a blood draw. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- Police received a report about an incident of public drunkenness and disorderly conduct Saturday at the Snappy’s Convenience Store. On-scene, police learned that an intoxicated male from the United Kingdom had allegedly been involved in an altercation with a customer. He fled the store but was later found stumbling along the roadway. He was subsequently taken into custody and put in county jail.
- Police received a report about contraband Friday at the Clearfield County Jail. During the incident, a 25-year-old Clearfield woman allegedly concealed a clear, powdery foreign substance on her person. Police are continuing their investigation at this time, and charges are currently pending.
DuBois City
- While on routine patrol Saturday, police witnessed a traffic violation along South Main Street. During a traffic stop, police allegedly located illegal drugs and paraphernalia. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- While on routine patrol Saturday, police witnessed a traffic violation along North Main Street. During a traffic stop, it was learned there was a warrant for the driver’s arrest. Police allegedly located illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia when the male was taken into custody. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- Police received a report about a retail theft Saturday at a business located on Beaver Drive. During the incident, a male and female allegedly took several items and then fled the store without paying for them. Police are continuing their investigation at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact city police.
- Police received a report about a female who was apparently under the influence of drugs Saturday in the 200 block of West Long Avenue. On-scene, police found the female was intoxicated to the point she was a danger to herself and others. She was subsequently arrested and a search allegedly yielded numerous illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia. Due to the female being highly intoxicated on illegal drugs, police took her to the hospital for medical treatment. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- While on routine patrol Friday, police observed two females in the laundromat parking lot, located at the intersection of West Long Avenue and South Jared Street. They were standing outside their vehicles and on the phone. When contact was made with them, it was learned they had just been involved in a vehicle crash. According to police, a Mazda 6 was stationary at a red light when it was rear-ended by a Toyota Avalon. No injuries were reported as a result, and both vehicles were driven from the scene. Police will also be filing multiple citations in the crash.
- Police received a report about a hit-and-run crash Friday. According to police, a male was crossing West DuBois Avenue when a dark red pick-up truck, which turned out of Juniata Street, struck him. He told police he was sore but went on to work. Police are continuing their investigation at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact city police.
- Police received a report about a disturbance Friday at an East Washington Avenue residence. Upon arrival, police found that three roommates were involved in a verbal argument. Police say one male advised he was having a panic attack, and he was transported to the hospital. No further action was required of police.
- Police received a report about a disorderly male Friday at the Penn Highlands Hospital’s emergency room. Upon arrival, the male was aggressive toward officers and hospital staff. However, he was able to be calmed down and police weren’t any longer needed for assistance.
