State police at Punxsutawney

  • State police reported on a drug-related incident that occurred Tuesday in the area of Eureka and North Main streets in Punxsutawney Borough. According to state police, a vehicle operated by a 22-year-old Punxsutawney man was stopped for a traffic violation. During the stop, there was probable cause established, which resulted in a search of the man’s vehicle. He was allegedly found in possession of a controlled substance and related paraphernalia. State police also believe that the man was under the influence of a controlled substance; charges are currently pending at this time.

Lawrence Township

  • Police responded to a motor vehicle crash Wednesday on Route 322/Woodland Road. According to police, a vehicle was stopped at a steady red signal when it was rear-ended by another vehicle. No injuries were reported as a result and both vehicles were driven from the scene.
