Milling and paving in Clinton County rescheduled
As work to improve more than 41 miles of roadway continues in Centre and Clinton counties, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is issuing an update on its project schedule.
Overall work includes milling, base repair, resurfacing, curbing, sidewalks and guide rail updates on sections of seven routes in Centre County and five in Clinton County.
In Centre County, work through Oct. 10 is scheduled as follows:
- Tuesday, Oct. 9, through Wednesday, Oct. 10, the contractor will perform shoulder work on Route 322 from Centre Street to the old Philipsburg police barracks. This is a moving operation that will take place between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. and require short-term lane closures. Flaggers in the roadway will enforce alternating traffic patterns. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.
In Clinton County, work through October 12 is scheduled as follows:
- Tuesday, Oct. 9, through Friday, Oct. 12, the contractor will begin milling and paving operations on Route 1016 (Central Avenue) from Avis to Pine Creek. This work was originally scheduled to take place the week of Oct. 1, but was delayed due to weather.
Glenn O. Hawbaker Inc. is the contractor on this $6.8 million project, which is expected to finish by late October. All work is weather and schedule dependent.
