State police at Clearfield

  • In accordance with Pennsylvania State Police’s Impaired Driving Enforcement Plan, troopers will conduct a sobriety checkpoint within Clearfield County in August.
  • State police received a report about an incident of criminal trespass that occurred between an unknown date and July 11 on Curtin Street in Osceola Mills Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly entered the victim’s apartment on multiple occasions without his permission. The person(s) used it to “hang out in,” he told state police. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-857-3800.
  • State police received a report about an alleged incident of indecent assault Wednesday at a Gormont Drive residence in Covington Township. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
  • State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred Monday on Walton Street in Chester Hill Borough. During the incident, a 27-year-old Morrisdale man allegedly threw an object at the victim’s car, striking the right, front passenger’s window and causing it to break. He was subsequently charged with the incident.

State police at Philipsburg

  • State police received a report about an incident of criminal trespass that occurred June 14 on Laurel Acres Lane in Rush Township. During the incident, someone allegedly entered the victim’s camper while it was parked outside her residence. When confronted, they fled the scene in different directions. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-342-3370.
  • State police received a report about an incident of theft/receiving stolen property that occurred between Feb. 1 and June 6 on Game Reserve Road in Rush Township. During the incident, the victim had four firearms, a generator and chainsaw stolen from his residence. It was determined that Michael Kowalcyk, 36, of Philipsburg allegedly removed the items and provided the firearms to Markel Maines, 48, also of Philipsburg. Kowalcyk was charged with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and sale/transfer of firearms. Maines was charged with receiving stolen property.
  • State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Monday at the Weis Market parking lot in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a 35-year-old Philipsburg man allegedly threatened physical harm to the victim. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.

State police at Ridgway

  • State police received a report about an incident of terroristic threats that occurred Sunday on Toby Road in Fox Township. During the incident, a 35-year-old Kersey man allegedly pointed a shotgun in the victim’s direction.

Clearfield Borough

  • Police received a report about a suspicious male in the area of East Cherry Street. Upon arrival, police searched the area but were unable to locate the male.
  • Police received a report about a disturbance that occurred on East Sixth Street. Upon arrival, officers found that a verbal altercation had occurred at a residence. Police were able to handle the situation at the scene.
  • Police received a report about two females who were involved in a disturbance on East Locust Street. Police are currently investigating the incident.
  • Police received a report about a suspicious vehicle on Latimere Street. Upon arrival, police found the vehicle was at the location to deliver items to a business.
  • Police assisted a motorist who had locked their keys inside their vehicle along Daisy Street.
  • Police received a report about a disturbance involving a mother and daughter on Daisy Street. Citations will be filed through the magistrate’s office.
  • Police responded to a single-vehicle accident along Woodland Road. According to police, a vehicle had drifted off the roadway and impacted a utility pole. No injuries were reported as a result.
  • Police responded to a minor two-vehicle collison along North Front Street. According to police, one motorist traveled from the right lane into the left lane without clearance, colliding with another vehicle. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were driven from the scene.
