Dixie L. Polites, 55, of Grampian died Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Penn Highlands Dubois.
Born Nov. 3, 1962 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of Pauline L. Quigley.
She was employed by Cen-Clear as a Pre-K teacher/aide; she was employed there for more than 20 years. She attended the St. Bonaventure’s Roman Catholic Church in Grampian.
On May 23, 1998 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Grampian, she wed Scott V. Polites, who survives of Grampian.
Also Surviving are her mother, Pauline L. Quigley of Grampian and two children, Danielle Aughenbaugh and her fiancé, Jonathan Dotts of Glen Richey and Dylan Polites and his wife, Anna of Fredericktown, Pa.
Also surviving are four grandchildren, Drevyn Dotts, Braylin Dotts, Daryn Polites and Wyatt Polites; a sister, Jacki Kendrick and her husband, Richard of Clearfield; mother-in-law, Carol Polites and her significant other, Gilbert Bressler of Grampian; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Bonaventure’s Roman Catholic Church in Grampian with Father L. Stephen Collins officiating. Burial will be held in St. Bonaventure’s Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville.
A Christian vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
