Lady Tide Blank Brockway 14-0 For Second Straight Win

BROCKWAY – Strong pitching by junior Rachel LeGars helped pave the way for a 14-0 win for the Curwensville girls softball team Saturday morning against the Lady Rovers in Brockway.

The game was called after five innings due to the mercy rule and over those five innings LeGars gave up just two hits, both singles, while recording nine strikeouts and no walks.

Brockway pitcher Morgan Lindenmuth had a rough day with control from the circle with nine bases on balls while surrendering seven hits, all singles.

The Lady Tide picked up two hits from Sabrina Spencer.

Picking up two RBI’s apiece for Curwensville were Spencer, Mackenzie Anderson, Ally Hess and Anne Hoover.

Curwensville had five stolen bases during the morning contest, two each from Spencer and Bailey Bloom.

The Lady Tide, now 2-2 on the year, have a home game on Tuesday against Kane starting at 4:15 pm
