Obituary Notice: Minnie C. Williams

Minnie C. Williams, 89, of Altoona and formerly of Clearfield, died Thursday, March 22, 2018 at UPMC Altoona.

She was born Sept. 9, 1928 in New Millport, the daughter of the late Walter and Lena (Shaffer) Myers.

Retired, she had worked for Bell and AT&T as a supervisor operator.

She was affiliated with the Christian Missionary Alliance Church of Hollidaysburg.

She is survived by her two sons, Don and David Williams of Altoona; five grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Verna Himes and Lettie Morrison, both of Curwensville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elton C. Williams Jr., daughter, Kathy Hooven; and two sisters, Elizabeth Davis and Edna English.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc., Clearfield, with Pastor Mark Grossoehme officiating.  Burial will be in Centre Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. An additional hour of viewing will be held from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. Tuesday.
