DCC Middle School Earns First Place at 21st Annual Junior Scholastic Challenge

DUBOIS – Team members Isaac Pifer, Hayes Cooper, Neel Gupta, Colin Micknis and Alternate Mia Edwards comprised DuBois Central Catholic’s Middle School Junior Scholastic Challenge Team that captured first place at the 21st annual event, which took place in the Hiller Auditorium at Penn State DuBois on March 1.

Advisor Renee (Burley) Gressler says, “It’s the culmination of time spent out of class and during lunch cramming for the competition,” adding “I am super, super proud of the team.”

Other middle schools taking part in the competition were Brockway Area, Brookville Area, Clearfield Area, DuBois Area and St. Marys Area.  DCC participates every year in this academic event, according to Gressler.
