CLEARFIELD – The Joseph & Elizabeth Shaw Public Library wishes to thank the following donors for their generous support to our 20/20 Capital Campaign:

  • Thomas and Carol Krolick
  • Bart Thompson
  • Dorothy L. Wisor
  • Richard and Susan Williams Family
  • Johnston, Nelson, Shimmel & Thomas, LLP
  • Clearfield-Jefferson County PA Council of the Blind
  • Jim and Linda Schultz
  • Mosquito Creek Sportsmen’s Association
  • Lezzer Holdings Inc.
  • NRG Energy Inc.
  • Janet Coons
  • William and Joyce Falger
  • Carl and Carol Peterson

According to previous Library Director Jayme Stonbraker, the library’s current building celebrated 20 years in spring of 2017.  However, the roof has reached the end of its lifespan and operating expenses continue to increase while financial support from the state government has decreased in recent years.

The goal of the Capital Campaign is to not only pay for a new roof and other upgrades, but also to increase the library’s permanent endowment, so that staff members can ensure a sustainable future for the library, Stonbraker said.

To learn more about the campaign, please visit the library’s Web site at www.ShawLibrary.org and click the “Donate” tab.

“We are extremely grateful to everyone that has donated thus far, putting us that much closer to our goal of $250,000 and a sustainable future,” Stonbraker said.
