DUBOIS – Indecent assault charges have been filed against a DuBois man for his conduct with a 13-year-old boy.

Brian G. Mottern, 60, is also charged with corruption of minors in relation to an incident Dec. 5 at his home when he allegedly touched the boy inappropriately.

He was incarcerated Dec. 6 with his bail set at $25,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 15.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, the victim reported that he was at  Mottern’s home to give him money from his mother who had done some shopping for Mottern.

The teen was invited into the apartment where Mottern started talking about being a homosexual. He allegedly offered the boy money to perform oral sex on him.

The victim said Mottern then grabbed his private parts. The boy said he removed Mottern’s hand and told him to stop, police said.

When Mottern was questioned, at first he just said the boy dropped off money and nothing happened.

After additional questioning, he told police he did have a conversation with him about sex and told him he liked him.

He admitted he offered to pay him for sexual favors. He said he hugged the boy and attempted to grab his private parts, but the juvenile stopped him, according to the report.
