Cast Announced for Upcoming Mega Musical at Reitz Theater

DUBOIS – The Reitz Theater Players of Cultural Resources Inc. would like to announce the cast list for its upcoming mega musical: The Producers, A New Mel Brooks Musical.

New actors are joining the Players from Clearfield, Jefferson, and Clarion counties.  RTP is excited to bring you this award winning comedy.

Ensemble roles and backstage positions are still available.  You can stop in the theater and sign up to work back-stage, help build costumes, set, props, or even stage manage the next mega production.  All are welcome at the Reitz Theater.

New York theater in 2001 was a flurry of excitement and rave reviews when The Producers, the stage musical version of Mel Brooks’ classic 1968 film opened.

The Producers with a score by Brooks, a book by Brooks and Thomas Meehan, and direction and choreography from Susan Stroman went on to win a record number of 12 Tony Awards.

The zany situations, songs and jokes are unabashedly in-you-face from beginning to end, and this romping musical is completely over the top.

Show dates are Oct. 13–21. Tickets are $12 general admission, available online now at or after Sept. 7 at the theater’s box office, Thursday’s between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m., or at Kohlhepp True Value in Dubois.
