Workshop to Cover Internet Security

TREASURE LAKE – A workshop will teach you how to keep your identity and yourself safe online.

It is being sponsored by the Treasure Lake Church and presented by John Straffin, IT security analyst.

The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Sept. 23 at the church. Cost is a $20 donation and business representatives and people are invited.

Straffin first began working in the computer lab at Penn State University when the Internet was young and Microsoft Windows was brand new.

Spending most of the last three decades supporting computer users of all sorts, Straffin is currently working as an IT security analyst at Duke University in Durham, NC. He is focusing on user risk awareness and endpoint security.
