CLEARFIELD – An “appreciation concert” for veterans will be held at 7 p.m. June 17 at the Knights of Columbus in Clearfield.
It will feature Johnny Counterfit, a voice impressionist/comedian from Nashville, Tenn.
Counterfit recreates singing voices of traditional country music superstars, Hollywood legends and comedians from the past 50 years.
The concert will also feature the Music City Playboys, a traditional country band.
Most band members have traveled the road with major stars, such as Merle Haggard, Conway Twitty and Leann Rimes.
“They don’t leave Nashville very often but have agreed to come to Clearfield to support Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors,” organizers say.
Denny’s Beer Barrel Pub has donated food for the appreciation concert event.
Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at Zalno Jewelers and Moyer’s Auto Body in Clearfield and Shop N’ Save in Houtzdale. Tickets are also available by calling 814-378-5153.
Sponsors have donated directly to Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors.
