League on Social Services Board Announces New Executive Officer

CLEARFIELD – Members of Clearfield County League on Social Services Inc.’s board of directors are pleased to announce the appointment of Jackie Diehl Syktich as the new executive officer. 

Syktich will replace Nancy Lombardo in this position, effective May 1, 2017.

Syktich is eager to begin her work with the league and the many organizations associated with its work. The league, as it is commonly called, is one of the first non-private agencies established in Clearfield County. Its mission is to provide quality human services with a special emphasis on programs for families with young children.

Syktich is the former chief executive officer of the DuBois Business College in DuBois, Huntingdon, Oil City and Philipsburg.  Syktich comes to the league with more than 36 years of experience in education and management. 

She belongs to many community boards and organizations that will enhance the league’s vision. 

She is the facilitator for the Greater DuBois Leadership Program through the Greater DuBois Area Chamber of Commerce, RULE Leadership Program board president, Pentz Run Youth Services board president, DuBois Parkside Community and Senior Center board member, Junior Achievement board member and Clearfield County Career & Technology Center Advisory Board member.

Also, she is a member of the State Board for the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the State Board of Private Licensed Schools.  Syktich is married to Paul Syktich and has three children, Rachel Syktich Steele, Erika Syktich and Garret Syktich.

The league is having a retirement open house on April 28 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. for Lombardo. 

People can stop by and help celebrate as the league’s staff members reminisce of Lombardo’s service to the Clearfield County League on Social Services Inc. 

The retirement open house will be held at the CCLSS at 1213 Graham St., in Hyde.
