CLEARFIELD – Clearfield Area United Way President Debbie Bowser recently delivered books through the Reading Ripples Project to St. Timothy’s Pre-School Director Jill Test as part of “Read Across America Day.”

“It is our intention to improve lives in measurable and lasting ways by mobilizing the caring power of thousands of people in our area communities,”       Bowser stated.

Gently-used books are collected for Reading Ripples and then coordinated, processed and distributed to agencies.

Tax deductible donations can be made to CAUW, 18 N. Second St., P.O. Box 1430, Clearfield, PA 16830. Information is also available by calling the United Way at 814-765-6521.

“We have another 100 children’s books available if we get a call, and we would be glad to deliver them to children’s groups who love to read,” added Bowser.
