DUBOIS – On Monday night, the Sandy Township Supervisors voted to approve the transfer of a liquor license to Snappy’s Convenience Store.
Bald Eagle Fuel & Tire Inc., Snappy’s, located near Interstate 80 Exit 101, requested the supervisors to approve the transfer of Pennsylvania Restaurant Liquor License, R-17529, from Kelee’s Bar in West Chester Borough to Sandy Township.
Jeff Fellinger, marketing director, said the Snappy’s store would make changes to comply with Pennsylvania law. For example, it would allow one drink to be consumed on site, as well as have restaurant seating for up to 30 people.
Fellinger said that this was to keep up with the competition in the region, as convenience stores are now increasingly carrying alcohol.
When asked, Fellinger said they’ve received approval for other license transfer requests; however, none of the 10 locations are currently selling alcohol.
The supervisors voted unanimously in favor of the liquor license transfer.
