Elizabeth Woods Weisgerber, 96, of Frenchville died Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at her residence.
She was born March 12, 1920 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late John and Hilda (Kephart) Woods.
Mrs. Weisgerber was a graduate of Clearfield High School and received a Bachelor of Science in education from the West Chester State Teachers College.
She was employed at Kennett Square Junior-Senior High School. She enjoyed cooking, traveling and knitting.
She is survived by two sons, John C. Weisgerber and his wife, Robin of Downers Grove, Ill., and William A. Weisgerber and his wife, Bobbye of McHenry, Ill.; four grandchildren, Adam C. Weisgerber of Boulder, Colo., Aaron Cyrus Weisgerber and his wife, Rachel of Bend, Ore., Alexander R. Weisgerber and his wife, Anne of Chicago, Ill., and William Aaron Weisgerber and his wife, Naomi of Milwaukee, Wis.; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Thelma Cruikshank of Riverside, Calif.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cyrus Aaron Weisgerber, on June 25, 2010. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Gloria Luzier, Marjorie Barr and Ester Welker.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Clearfield, with the Rev. Dr. Jimmy Hopper officiating.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Clearfield Education Foundation, P.O. Box 510, Clearfield.
