Jesus Lopez Sagastume, 78, of Philipsburg died at his residence Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016.
Born Jan. 2, 1938 in Guatemala, he was a son of the late Domingo Lopez and Porfiria Sagastume.
He was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Philipsburg. He was the owner of Brother’s Pizza until his retirement. He enjoyed playing soccer.
He is survived by seven children, Claudia Shaw and her husband, Jeff of Coalport; Sandra Brelo and Lilian Lopez, both of Pittsburgh; Mario Lopez of Philipsburg; Oscar Lopez and his wife, Zoila of Guatemala; Jason Sagastume of Pleasant Gap; and Audra Sagastume of Nebraska.
He is also survived by three siblings, Marta Chin and her husband, German, Tomas Lopez and Magda Godoy and her husband, Jose, all of Guatemala; nine grandchildren, Josseline Lopez, Alex Lopez, Brandon Brelo, Joshua Barrientos, Jesica Lopez, Oscar Lopez, Elijah Brelo, Daniela Piedrahita and Mario Lopez; and a great-granddaughter, Estephani Alejandra Sagastume Lopez.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Hector Lopez.
A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 215 E. Laurel St., Philipsburg, with Spence Garvin, the lay minister at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiating.
