CLEARFIELD – Clearfield Borough police arrested Willie Lunsford, 31, of Philadelphia on Tuesday, who was wanted on a parole warrant. Police also say he will be facing charges for allegedly being found with heroin.
According to the report, officers were dispatched to the parking lot of the Sheetz store at 101 Nichols St., where several adult males were supplying cigarettes to five teenagers who were between 12 and 13 years of age.
Upon arrival to the scene, an officer who recognized Lunsford knew there was a warrant for his arrest through the Pennsylvania State Parole Board. Police say Lunsford was among the adults who were supplying cigarettes to the minors.
Upon arresting Lunsford on the parole warrant, he provided officers with a false name. Police also seized numerous bags of heroin that were located in his pocket, according to the report. Lunsford was turned over to Pennsylvania State Parole agents.
Criminal charges will be filed on Lunsford for possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance upon completion of the investigation.
