M. Dean Winters, 80, of Philipsburg died Monday, Nov. 14, 2016 at Manor Care in Lebanon, Pa.
Born July 17, 1936 in New Castle, R.D. Osceola Mills, he was the son of the late Ward H. and Elverta B. (Yarger) Winters.
He married Mona A. (McGarry) Winters on July 18, 1959 at the First Church of Christ in Philipsburg. She preceded him in death Dec. 25, 2009.
Mr. Winters was a member of the First Church of Christ in Philipsburg.
He was a retired truck driver for Roger Kephart Trucking, Houtzdale. He had served in the U.S. Army and graduated from the former Philipsburg High School. He was also a member of the Osceola Lodge No. 515, F.&A.M.
He is survived by one daughter, Cindy Eby and her husband, Doug of Lebanon, Pa.; one son, Christopher D. Winters and his wife, Courtney of Manheim, Pa.; two brothers, Kenneth W. Winters and his wife, Kay of Hughesville, Pa., and Harlan L. Winters and his wife, Judy of New Castle, R.D. Osceola Mills; and four grandchildren, Hunter Winters, Drew Eby, Tyler Eby and Ryleigh Winters.
The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Osceola Mills, with Pastor Ryan Parish officiating. Burial will be at the Philipsburg Cemetery in Philipsburg.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday and from 12:30 p.m. Saturday until funeral time at the funeral home.
Masonic Memorial Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Osceola Mills Honor Guard.
