George W. Hill Jr., 76, of Clearfield died Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.
He was born June 8, 1940 in Armagh, the son of the late George W. Hill Sr. and Eleanor (Felton) Hill. On March 22, 1958, he married Donna J. Hill, who died July 21, 1999.
Mr. Hill was the former owner of Hill’s Auto Service. He was a member of Free Methodist Church, Clearfield.
He was a life-long member of the National Rifle Association and ASE Certified Automotive.
He was an avid hunter and sportsmen, and some of his hobbies included target shooting and reloading ammo. He enjoyed watching football, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and racing.
He is survived by his four sons, William Hill Sr., Clifford and his wife, Denise Hill and Philip Hill Sr. (Tammy), all of Clearfield, and Victor Hill of Osceola Mills.
He is survived by 15 grandchildren, William Hill Jr., Samantha Hill, Philip Hill, Elliot Hill, Christopher Justice, Jonathan Justice, Kimberly Knotts, Ashley Hill, Laura Jean Hill, Clifford Hill, Philip Hill Jr., Maddison Bressler, Cassidy Hill, Kara Hill and Avah Hill and three great-grandchildren, Jayden Hill, Jaxon Hill and Paisleigh Ogden.
He is also survived by two brothers, Paul and his wife, Sharon Hill of Hunker, Pa., and Harry and his wife, Debbie Hill of Clearfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and daughter, Cynthia Justice.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc. An additional hour of viewing will be held from 10 a.m. Monday until the hour of service at the funeral home.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at the funeral home with the Rev. Joe Muir officiating. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery.
