CLEARFIELD – Tickets are now available for the upcoming Ales for Tails craft-beer tasting event to benefit the Clearfield County SPCA.

This year’s event will be held from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. Nov. 12., at the Clearfield Knights of Columbus.

Music will be provided by acoustic guitarist, Brandon Guiffre.  A barbeque meal from Shannon’s Catering of DuBois will be included in the price of the ticket.

More than 75 craft beers will be available for sampling along with local breweries.  This year Bee Kind Winery is also providing a selection of their wines.

This is the second year for the “Top Dog” Home Brewer Competition.  Local brewers have entered their beers to be judged by Charlie Schnable and Chris Brugger of Otto’s Pub and Brewery of State College and Rhob Striker of Race Street Brew Works.  Medals will be awarded at the event along with a ‘Top Dog Best of Show’ trophy.

Last year’s event was sold out, and a limited number of tickets are available this year.  Tickets are $25 pre-sale and can be purchased at the Clearfield SPCA, West Side Distributing, Race Street Brew Works and Waggin Trains.

Any remaining tickets may be purchased at the door for $30.
