CURWENSVILLE – The Curwensville Rotary Club was recently treated to a creative and informative program.

Tom Aaron of the Clearfield County Historical Society presented the program in the character of the Rev. Leonard Marsden Gardner.

Gardner was a Methodist minister who resided in Curwensville and who traveled extensively, ministering to troops during the Civil War.

His “riveting” presentation included facts about the Pennsylvania Bucktail Regiment and its contributions to the war effort.

Pictured are Sharon and Tom Aaron dressed in authentic period costumes from the Civil War era.
