CLEARFIELD – On Aug. 28 the Central Mountains Region Antique Automobile Club of America held its 40th annual Antique and Custom Auto Show at the Clearfield Driving Park.
This year’s show was sponsored by FORD® and the Dotts Motor Company of Clearfield, both of which had a display of new vehicles for the spectators to view.
Despite the weather, owners came out to show their vehicles, including the 104 registered cars, trucks, vans and motorcycles. This year it was a judged show and vehicle owners were required to have a fire extinguisher.
Starr Hill Winery made available its bottle of wine featuring the club’s Car of the Year, a 1969 Chevrolet Cheyenne pick-up owned by Len and Mona Mullen of Clearfield.
Car of the Year is chosen from the Central Mountains Region AACA members’ vehicles. Bottles of the club’s wine are for sale at any of the Starr Hill Winery stores. Club T-shirts were also on sale for people to buy.
New this year the club held a kid’s coloring contest. There were three classes and one trophy was given out in each class. The winners were: Age 2-4 Group, Claire Coudriet, Curwensville; Age 5-6 Group, Landon (last name unknown); and Age 7-8 Group, Derek (last name unknown).
