CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Borough police are seeking the public’s help with information regarding a shooting incident that occurred early Monday morning.
According to Police Chief Vince McGinnis, officers were called to The Laundry Station at the corner of Third and Reed streets in Clearfield Borough around 6:49 a.m.
McGinnis said an 18-year-old African-American man was inside the laundromat when another unidentified man entered the laundromat and shot the teen in the upper-thigh area.
“We can only say so much at this point,” McGinnis said. “We’re still investigating the incident and we’re working to identify the person involved.”
He said the victim was taken to Altoona Hospital for treatment.
McGinnis is asking anyone who may have information regarding the incident or the identity of the individual who fired the weapon to contact police.
