PERRY TOWNSHIP – A 39-year-old man is facing kidnapping and related charges.
On Sept. 3 the Pennsylvania State Police, Troop C, Punxsutawney station, received a report about a missing 15-year-old female.
She was last seen around 3 a.m. Sept. 3 at her residence in Perry Township, Jefferson County.
The investigation determined the victim was having contact with 39-year-old Jeremy Michael Warner of Farmdale, Ohio, and evidence indicated that Warner had traveled to Pennsylvania to meet the victim, according to state olice.
Warner and the victim were located at a motel in Warren, Ohio. At that time, the victim told police that Warner had sexually assaulted her at the motel.
A warrant for arrest was issued for Warner, charging him with one count each of the following:
- Kidnapping, Felony 1
- Unlawful Contact with a Minor, Felony 1
- Interference with the Custody of a Child, Felony 3
- Corruption of Minors, Felony 3
Warner is currently in the custody of the Trumbull County Sheriff’s Department and will be extradited to Pennsylvania to face these charges at a later date.
The investigation into the sexual assault is currently ongoing by the Warren City Police Department, state police said.
