Frank Williams Jr., 75, of Philipsburg and formerly of Munson and Grassflat, died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2016 at Centre Crest Nursing Home, Bellefonte.
Born Oct. 23, 1940, he was the son of the late Frank and Cecilia (Havran) Williams.
He attended the West Branch High School and was affiliated with the Gearheartville Free Methodist Church.
Surviving are one sister Ruby Barquist of Windy Hill Village of Presbyterian Homes, Philipsburg, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
His life was the Boy Scouts. He volunteered at least 50 years with the scouts, starting in Munson and ending with Philipsburg Troup 44.
Summers were spent at Camp Mountain Run, Penfield. He was the director of many departments at the camp and was the camp inspector.
He received the great honor of the Vigil Order of the Arrow along with the District Award of Merit, the Silver Beaver Award and the Wood Badge.
He was also a member of Reliance Volunteer Fire Company, Philipsburg, and of the Fire Police Association.
Family and friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday at Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, Morrisdale.
Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. at the funeral home following visitation with Pastor Noel Meyers officiating. Burial will be in the Allport Cemetery, Allport.
