Sara Haines is joining “The View” as an official co-host .

The “Good Morning America Weekend” co-anchor — who has appeared often on “The View” — will join co-hosts Joy Behar, Candace Cameron Bure, Paula Faris and Raven-Symoné. ABC also named Jedediah Bila and Sunny Hostin as official contributors to “The View.”

Hostin, a senior legal correspondent for ABC News and former CNN contributor, tweeted about her new gig following the announcement. “It’s official! I will be joining the ladies of @TheView for Season 20. Thank you Twitterverse for all the love and support.”

Bila also confirmed her new role in a tweet. She moves to “The View” from Fox News.

“We have such a smart, funny and fearless group of women who bring unparalleled passion and opinions to the hot topics table every single day,” Candi Carter, executive producer of “The View” said in a statement. “We have an exciting season 20 planned and plenty of surprises in store.”

Wednesday’s announcement came hours after longtime moderator, Whoopi Goldberg, took issue with a report by “The Daily Mail” about staffing shakeups at “The View.” Goldberg tweeted that she had nothing to do with the decision making process at the show.

The next season of “The View” begins on September 6.
