Strike Force to Conduct DUI Checkpoints

CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County DUI Strike Force will conduct roving patrols and DUI checkpoints during the first week of August. The patrols and checkpoints will be taking place in various parts of Clearfield County.

During the enforcement, officers will be watching for drivers who exhibit signs of impairment by drugs and or alcohol.

PennDOT data for Clearfield County shows that in 2015, 54 crashes occurred involving alcohol and 17 crashes were drug-related.  Ten people were killed as a result of those crashes.
