The Elk State Forest has installed a new Smokey Wildfire Danger Sign.

If you are driving on state Route 948, look in the Fox Township Community Park and you will notice the new sign.

This is the seventh Wildfire Danger sign in the Elk and Cameron area.

These signs were installed to alert the public of the potential of a wildfire and to make someone think twice before striking a match for a camp fire, trash fire or to burn leaves and brush.
