CLEARFIELD – State Reps. Matt Gabler (R-Clearfield/Elk) and Tommy Sankey (R-Clearfield/Cambria) are co-hosting a concealed carry seminar on March 19, at 9 a.m., at the Clearfield Driving Park in Expo Building I of the Clearfield County Fairgrounds, 5615 Park St., Clearfield.

“The seminar will take place during the Central PA Outdoor and Sports Show being held at the fairgrounds that weekend,” said Gabler. “We’re excited to offer this program for anyone who already has a concealed carry permit, or is thinking of obtaining one.”

Speakers at the seminar include Clearfield County Sheriff Wes Thurston, Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. and U.S. Concealed Carry Association Instructor Jerry Schickling. There will be a question and answer session following each of their individual presentations.

“There are misconceptions about concealed carry laws in Pennsylvania,” Sankey said. “We’re hosting this event in an effort to lay out the facts for gun owners and give them a chance to have answered any questions they might have.”

There is no admission fee to attend the seminar and no need for anyone planning to attend to register in advance.
