State police at Clearfield

  • State police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief that occurred Nov. 23 in Woodland. During the incident, someone allegedly smashed the victim’s mailbox.
  • State police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief that occurred Nov. 23 in Clearfield. During the incident, someone allegedly smashed the victim’s mailbox with a baseball bat. State police are continuing their investigation of the incident.
  • State police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief that occurred sometime between Nov. 19 and Nov. 21 at Camp Rolling Rock off of Rankin Road. During the incident, someone allegedly cut the master padlock with a set of bolt cutters. Damage is estimated at $12, state police said. State police are continuing their investigation of the incident.

State police at Philipsburg

  • State police received a report about an alleged incident of access device fraud that occurred Nov. 18 on Beaver Road in Huston Township. During the incident, someone allegedly obtained the victim’s debit/check card information and attempted to make online purchases of $1,442.70 to an automotive shop in Tacoma, Wash. State police are continuing their investigation of the incident.
  • State police received a report about an alleged incident of retail theft that occurred Nov. 22 at the Weis Market in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, an employee was allegedly caught stealing $120.23worth of groceries as she clocked out of work. She then allegedly admitted to stealing groceries over a period of approximately a year with a total amount estimated at $977.86.

DuBois City

  • Police were dispatched to the intersection of Simmons Street and West Long Avenue, where three juveniles were allegedly running through yards and looking into windows on Sunday. The juveniles, police said, were last seen heading toward downtown. However, they were gone prior to police arrival.
  • Police received a report about a suspicious vehicle Sunday in the 100 block of West Scribner Avenue. Dispatch was advised that a black vehicle, which had a loud exhaust, was circling in the area. Police were unable to locate the vehicle, which also didn’t return to the caller’s residence.
  • Police received a report about a suspicious male in a yard Sunday on Kurtz Street. The caller advised a male had been standing in her yard two hours prior to her call and kept falling down. A male, police said, was located laying in the grass along the 200 block of Hamor Street. He was allegedly found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and transported to the Penn Highlands emergency room for injuries and exposure. The male will be cited for public drunkenness as a result of the incident, police said.
  • Police assisted DuSan Ambulance personnel with gaining access to an apartment of a fall patient on East Long Avenue on Sunday. A female, police said, was found uninjured and police cleared the scene.

Curwensville Borough

  • Police arrested a Curwensville man for allegedly driving a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol Sunday.
  • Police received a report about an alleged assault that occurred Saturday at the Curwensville Moose. Further, a known female allegedly grabbed and forced the victim to the floor; the victim wasn’t injured during the incident. Charges of disorderly conduct and harassment will be filed, police said.
